Dear Mum
As we start this month of July, many memories come flooding in of happy July’s past which were full of fun times and happy days. I particularly remember the July of 1966 from which I learned of your great love for football. It was of course the year in which England won the World Cup.
We holidayed at the Golden Sands Holiday Park in Rhyl during the tournament and I remember watching you come alive with your enthusiasm for the game. It’s also the first time I learned on how loud you could whistle. Absolutely magical.
Missing you is an understatement but memories of you are in abundance ❤️
